Whitney Houston Almost Booted Off A Delta Airlines Flight

Why can't Whitney Houston just stay out of trouble? Yesterday, the R&B singer was almost booted off a Delta Airline Flight for her Diva attitude (of course). According to TMZ, Houston boarded a plane from Atlanta to head to Detroit to begin shooting scenes for remake of the 1976  film "Sparkle." Flight attendants asked her to fasten her seat belt, because they were preparing to take off, but Whitney refused. After being asked numerous times and almost kicked off the flight, she finally gave in and allowed one of the crew members to buckle her seat belt.
Like seriously Whitney..... WHY? What is there to argue about when asked to do one thing. Its for safety reason. Its not going to kill you to just follow the rules. The diva attitude is overrated Whitney, GROW UP. I still love you though. Looking forward to seeing you in Sparkle. :)

Seems like Rapper Vita is making a comeback to the rap game. The former first lady of Murder Inc is known for her early music contributions to the label and raps on a couple of Ja Rule's songs, like "Put It On Me" and "Down A*s B%$ch" remix. She made an appearance at the S.O.B on Tuesday night for the Bazaar Royale's monthly artist showcase. Vita wore an all black see through body suit as she spit a couple of her old verses and dropped a freestyle on Janye's hit trak "Otis."

Royce Da 5'9 Discusses Reason Behind Rihanna Shout-Out

At the 2011 BET Hip Hop awards, we got a check out a couple of cyphers that included both commercial and underground rappers. One of the most memorable cyphers this year was the Shady 2.0 cypher, which consisted of Eminem, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5'9, and Yelawolf. But one rapper in particular in this cypher had twitter, facebook, and blogs on fire after his "Hi Rihanna, Hi Rihanna, Bye Rihanna" statement in his freestyle.... Royce Da 5'9!
Check out his freestyle below:
Well, Royce made a quick stop to 106 and Park to talk about the people's reaction to the Shady 2.0 Cypher. He even spoke on why he mentioned Rihanna's name in his rhyme, which was a result of a recent meeting in Europe at the V Festival.
On the shady Cypher
"We're getting a response, everybody did their thing, we walked out proud."
On mentioning Rihanna's name
"She came up and told me she like one of songs, so I just felt like, you tell me that again, we go together, It has to happen. I express myself through my music, I just thought it was a line I was going to say, I didn't know if she was going to hear it."

Yesterday, rapper Jayceon aka Game did the unthinkable. He stepped up to the plate and proposed to his girlfriend Tiffany of 7 years. The rapper planned the whole surprise that same morning, and surprised her at her job (Frank D. Parent Elementary School in Ingelwood, CA, where she is a teacher. Tiffany walked in the room shocked, but thought she was being set up to get fired. Game got on his knees and said:

"Oh yes, Jayceon."
After proposing to his then girlfriend, Game told MTV:

Director Scams Kelly Rowland "Lay It On Me" Music Video

A couple of days ago, we reported on Beyonce being criticized for her heavy similarities of the works of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker for her recent music video "countdown. Well, it seems that her former Destiny Child's bandmate is under fire for the same thing. Yesterday, we shared Kelly's new video "Lay It On Me" featuring rapper Big Sean. The video shows Kelly Rowland wearing sexy one pieces, while she is surrounded by a group of sexy men.
Guess what? In 2009, Livvi Franc (a British Barbadian singer) had a similar music video featuring Pitbull, for her single "Now I'm That B*&ch." Like Kelly's video,  Franc is seen singing in front of beautiful moving fabric, standing naked between two strips of latex, and kneeling on the backs of men.
But here is the twist to this story.... both videos were directed by the same director Sara Chatfield. So compare to Beyonce's recent incident, the same director was used for both visuals. In this case, the director should be blamed for the clear similarities in the videos. Seems like Chatfield must be losing her artistic edge.
Peep both videos below:

Royce Reed Says NO! To Season 4 Of BBW

While many of us are waiting for the return of Basketball Wives on VH1, we may not even see a fourth season of the show. Royce Reed announced on her twitter that she is not returning to the show for a fourth season.
"Good Afternoon! as of right now I have decided NOT to return for Season 4 of BBW due to artistic differences. Tings may change, but as of now, No!"
A little after her tweet, her former Basketball Wives cast mate Tami Roman replied to the tweet, pointing out that others may not return as well.
"Well ok @Roycelr don't be surprised-several others may follow..."
Now remember, last month Evelyn Lozado expressed that she would not sign on to do anymore shows (which may also include bbw).
"Just wanted to say that I won't be on Twitter for a while. Going 2 possible delete my account & I won't be signing on 2 do anymore shows"
There is a possibility that Royce stating "artistic differences" can in fact be about financial differences. According to Page six, who ran a "Just Asking" piece stated:

Monica And Shannon Brown Talk With Essence.com

Monica and Shannon Brown are so in love. Clearly, the two love birds are still deeply in love after the beautiful wedding ceremony they shared with their family and friends. The R&B diva and her sexy basketball player husband recently chatted with Essence.com to discuss the passion in their relationship, how they make time for each other with their busy schedules, Monica's relationship with her mother in-law, the negative criticism from blogs, and her take on doing reality tv again.
Read a couple of excerpts from the essence.com interview:
On how they keep things passionate:
That's so easy for us. I don't know where to start. The best lingerie I have, Vanessa Bryant gave it to me. She is the biggest fan of La Perla and she goes into stores a lot. Every time I would open one of her gifts, Shannon was like "yeah" and he'd start clapping for that gift. Sometimes he likes when I'm just in his t-shirt or his jersey."
On making time for each other:
We're together a lot because I think you make time for the things that are important and our marriage is important to us. So we make time, all the time. At a video shoot Shannon and I go in my dressing room and order the food we want and just spend time talking to each other and getting to know each other even more. Every day is a new day, so it never stops. You never stop learning each other. Sometimes the best moments are just the quiet ones.
On her relationship with Shannon's mother:

Sneak Peak Video: Beyonce "Love On Top"

Seems like Beyonce has been all over the internet for the past few days. Last week, she premiered her video "countdown," and received some heat about stealing choreography from Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keemaeker. Beyonce responded to the accusations by saying that she was paying homage to her icons Diana Ross, Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn, Andy Worhol, and more. Now, Bey hit us again with another inspiration for her next music video release "Love On Top," which she performed at the VMA's.
Beyonce is seen as the front man of a group with 5 male back up singers doing choreography with microphone stands. If this seems a little familiar to you, its because Bey uses the influence of  New Edition "Is It Love?" music video.

It switches to the two in bed together and ends with the caption reading "to be continued." Can you say "TOO HOT FOR TV?"

Beyonce Responds To "Countdown" Video Accusations

Last night, we reported on Beyonce being accused of plagiarism for her latest music video "countdown." Read about incident here. Well, Bey responded to the accusations with a letter:
“Clearly, the ballet ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ was one of many references for my video ‘Countdown.’ It was one of the inspirations used to bring the feel and look of the song to life.”
“I was also paying tribute to the film, ‘Funny Face’ with the legendary Audrey Hepburn. My biggest inspirations were the ’60s, the ’70s, Brigitte Bardot, Andy Warhol, Twiggy and Diana Ross. I’ve always been fascinated by the way contemporary art uses different elements and references to produce something unique.”
After releasing a statement about the incident, Anne Teresa also wrote a letter that was posted on the Studio Brussel website (This website was the first to realize the comparison between the two videos). Anne Teresa gave Bey her props, but did not appreciate Beyonce and her crew for not crediting her for her choreography. The letter has been taken down since.
“Beyoncé is not the worst copycat; she sings and dances very well, and she has a good taste! On the other hand, there are protocols and consequences to such actions, and I can’t imagine she and her team are not aware of it.[...]“In the 1980s, this was seen as a statement of girl power, based on assuming a feminine stance on sexual expression. I was often asked then if it was feminist. Now that I see Beyoncé dancing it, I find it pleasant but I don’t see any edge to it. It’s seductive in an entertaining consumerist way.”

First Two Weeks Of 2011-2012 NBA Season Canceled

Negotiators for both sides of the NBA lockout met in New York for 13 hours to reach a deal before the start of the NBA season. Participants of the meeting included NBA commissioner David Stern, a couple of owners (San Antonio owner Peter Holt, New York Knicks owner James Dolan, and Minnesota Timberwolves Glen Taylor) along with NBA Officials Rick Buchanan and Dan Rube, while the NBA union side were union executive director Billy Hunter, L.A Lakers/Union president Derek Fisher, vice president Maurice Evans, and lawyers Jeffrey Kessler and Ron Klempner. Last week, Stern set a Monday deadline to reach an agreement. Unfortunately, they were unable to reach a deal for the split of basketball relation income, which led the commissioner to cancel the first two weeks of the 2011-2012 NBA season. David Stern made the announcement about the cancellation around 10 pm last night.
"We certainly hope it would never come to this. I think that both sides worked hard to get a better solution."
NBA Commissioner David Stern
NBA union executive director Billy Hunter doesn't feel that the entire 2011-2012 NBA season is in trouble. However, the union has been preparing for the worst to happen, similar to the shortened 1998-1999 basketball season.  He told reporters:
"We probably need to miss a few games in order for them to be convinced that there is resolve among the players. While we don't want to be out here, our players are not going to fall apart. We've spend two and half years getting them ready. This is the worst-case scenario."
NBA Union Executive Director Billy Hunter
