A couple of days ago, we reported on Beyonce being criticized for her heavy similarities of the works of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker for her recent music video "countdown. Well, it seems that her former Destiny Child's bandmate is under fire for the same thing. Yesterday, we shared Kelly's new video "Lay It On Me" featuring rapper Big Sean. The video shows Kelly Rowland wearing sexy one pieces, while she is surrounded by a group of sexy men.
Guess what? In 2009, Livvi Franc (a British Barbadian singer) had a similar music video featuring Pitbull, for her single "Now I'm That B*&ch." Like Kelly's video, Franc is seen singing in front of beautiful moving fabric, standing naked between two strips of latex, and kneeling on the backs of men.
But here is the twist to this story.... both videos were directed by the same director Sara Chatfield. So compare to Beyonce's recent incident, the same director was used for both visuals. In this case, the director should be blamed for the clear similarities in the videos. Seems like Chatfield must be losing her artistic edge.
