Common Reveals Details About Break Up With Eryka Badu

Back in the early 2000's, Common and Eryka Badu were an item for about two years. After they broke up, the public were left puzzled about the break up, since they were such a cute couple. Well recently, Common reveled some details about their break during an appearance on the Wendy Williams Show, where he was promoting his new autobiography. Supposedly, Eryka broke up with the rapper while he was on tour and admitted that she like someone else. Read what he had to say:

"She handed it to me. I was in my hotel room on tour and.... she called me and was like, 'Hey, I don't wanna be in this relationship no more. I'm liking somebody else.' That was my first love and my first heartbreak.
It taught me a lot of things, and when it happened I kinda really got into myself and really learned about myself and I was able to move on, and now me and E are real cool. "

Awww, thats so sad. At least he was able to move on.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a couple of behind the scenes photos from Common's "Ghetto Dreams" music video shoot, which features Nas. The video was shot by Matt Alonzo. "Ghetto Dreams" is available on itunes. Common's album "The Dream, The Believer" will drop on November 22nd. So be on the look out.

I just reported a story on Common on MTV defending the lyrics to his new song "Ghetto Dreams (features Nas). Well these two lyricist are not wasting time to release the video. Photos of the two on set of the "Ghetto Dreams" has been released. There is not word on when the video will be available to the public, til then the photos will do.

Now you know we all love some Common. The Chicago rapper released a song that may be shocking to many and his fans as well. His recent single "Ghetto Dreams" (features Nas) from his upcoming album "The Dreamer, The Believer" consists of some blunt and straight forward lyrics. Common raps "a b$&ch that look good and cook good," flips pancakes butt naked in the kitchen and tricks off the dough her man makes." I know, I know.... those are some crazy lyrics from Common. The rapper chatted up with MTV News and spoke on his single and the direction of the song. He describes the single as "highly conceptualized." He goes on to say that the single is not an insult to women, but its a list of qualities that he looks for in a woman.
