Say it is sooooooo! Could it be that popular FOX sketch comedy series "In Loving Color" could be making a comeback? The show that launched careers of comedians and actors like the Wayans family (Kim, Shawn, Marlon, and Damon), David Allan Grier, Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, Tommy Davidson, and more is coming to a tv near you. It even started the career of Jennifer Lopez, who was just a Fly Girl showing the world her dance moves.
FOX and "In Living Color" creator/producer Keenan Ivory Wayans announced the return of the classic series with a two and half-hour special. However, there is a catch. If all goes well with the two hour special, a rebooted version will be added to FOX's fall schedule next year. Keenan will produce the series through his company Ivory Way Production, which is in association with 20 Century FOX.Rumor is that Keenan is bringing in a new cast for the sketch series. But, word has not been confirmed if former cast members will make an appearance.
Check out a classic sketch from "ILC" titled "The Buttmans":
Sidenote: I wonder if the new cast would be able to bring comedy to life like the old cast members? Some are doubting if Keenan can pull this off a second time around. Hey, Saturday Night Live is still going strong after 37 seasons. I hope Damion makes an appearance and reprise his role has homie. Maybe his son Damion Wayans Jr. can play Homie Jr. (lol). Will the fly girls return? Maybe Rosie Perez will return as their choreographer. They must keep the theme song.... It's a CLASSIC! So many questions in the air.
