Yesterday, I got a chance to listen to a beautiful song titled "I Love You." Miami native Phyllisia blesses the track with her soulful vocals on the Luther Vandross "The Closer I Get To You"  sampled. The track features Atlanta rapper Yung Joc and reggae artist Jah Cure. "I Love You" was produced by another Miami Native Mistah Wiggy and written by other Miami natives Jessica Juste and James Shepherd. Phyllisia is currently signed to SoBe entertainment.

GeekPod: New Music By Drake Featuring Nicki Minaj "Make Me Proud"

These two would make such a great couple, if only they gave it a shot. Cash Money label mates Drake and Nicki Minaj just released a track titled "Make Me Proud." Although Drake originally recorded without Nicki for his upcoming album "Take Care," the two decided to recorded their version of the song. Drake is set to perform the original version of "Make Me Proud" tomorrow on Saturday Night Live. "Take Care" hit stores November 15.

GeekPod: New music By Young Sir "Troy Davis"

A young rapper by the name of Young Sir pays tribute to Troy Davis, who was executed last month for allegedly killing a police officer. Although Troy Davis was executed for the crime, he kept his innocence until his final moments of life. As a tribute to the late Troy Davis, the rapper uses his words to express how he feels about the Troy Davis case. 

The song begins with a voice recording of Troy Davis stating his full name and why he is serving time for a crime that he says he did not commit. The song transitions to Young Sir painting a picture of Troy Davis's case and situation with the chorus saying "sincerely Troy Davis" as visuals of Young Chris and Troy Davis being shown. In the song, Young Sir speaks on the lack of evidence in the case, racism still existing in the world, the pressure of living in this world, having a black president but still no change, The state of Georgia being against Davis, Troy pleading Innocent for 22 years, and so on. Later in the song, you hear Troy Davis' voice again where he talks about his family going through this ordeal and his faith in GOD keeping him strong. 
This record is just AMAZING. Young Sir is speaking the truth on this incredible beat. Props to Young Sir for this track. I was waiting for an artist to release a track that pays tribute the late Troy Davis.

Tristan Wilds is one former teenage star that just keeps rising to the top. The young actor has been seen in films, television, and also music videos. He known for his roles in "Secret Life Of Bees," HBO series "The Wire," and currently plays Dixion Wilson on the The CW's hit series "90210. But now Tristan is expanding his talents to the music industry. Tristan signed a deal with Ten2One and recorded 2 songs so far. Recently, the "90210" star recorded his own version of Frank Ocean's "Thinking About You." He beat boxes his way throughout the song as he lays down his sexy/soulful high vocals on the accapella track.

Tristan is currently working on a seven-song free EP that is set to release in November.

Young Jeezy is set to drop his upcoming album "TM103." But an official date for the LP has not been confirmed. Rapradar will announce the official release date for the album on October 3rd. Til then, Jeezy just dropped his next single "Fame" off the album, which features new free jail bird T.I. Fame. The song is short for "Fake A%$ Muthaf&%$#s Envy" was produced by Justice League.

Wale has a new single out for the ladies. The Maybach Music artist teamed up with R&B singer/songwriter Miguel to bring us his latest track "Lotus Flower Bomb." In the song, Wales uses various pick up lines, like:

"Shorty, where you baton" 
"Racing through my mind,"
"Can we take shots with your flavor."

J.Cole has another hit on deck. The rapper just released his single "Nobody's Perfect" off his upcoming album "Cole World: The Sideline Story," which drops in less than a week. The track, which was produced by the rapper himself has a unique sound and features Missy Elliot. This time around, Missy shows her sexy R&B talents, instead of her wild and loud side. On the record, J. Cole reminicises about his success and sneaking into college girl dorm rooms as Missy sings the hook of the song, saying:

"Nobody's perfect. Nobody's perfect.... Aye, but you perfect for me!"

J.Cole's album "Cole World: The Sideline Story" hit stores Tuesday.

GeekPod: New music By Estelle "Thank You"

The lovely English singer Estelle just released her second single "Thank You." The track is a follow up to her hit joint  "Break My Hear," which features Ricky Rozay. "Thank You," which was produced by Jerry Wonda & Wonda Music and written by Akon is off her upcoming album "All Of Me. Estelle said that she doesn't sing songs that she didn't write, but after hearing Akon's piece, she felt different. 
"If I was going to do a song written by someone else, I wanted it be done right. I wanted it to be something I felt through my heart, through my body, and through my mind. When the words came in for this song, I was just.... By the time I go to the chorus of the song, I was damn near crying. It just resonated just SO much with me. I play it for my guy friends and THEY even start crying. It's just that kind of song. 
Estelle released the song on her website, where she released a music video. The video shows the lyrics of the song in a black and while film noire.

Three Miami Natives and friends (Sp Mazzi, Kparn, and Fee) untied together to form a local rap group called Mazzarati. The group gained popularity with their their hit single "Ride It Like A Pony." Now the men are back in the studio and recently released their new song "Grind (C.R.E.A.M). The record was produced by group member Kparn.

Bistro 1st Look: Rapper "Sinatti Pop"

Upcoming rapper Sinatti Pop is hard at work. The Pennsylvania rapper has been rapping since the age of five. He’s opened for artists such as Fabolous, Nas, Young Gunz, Donnie Klang, Trav, and many more. Sinatti Pop just finished his debut album “The Making Of…., which consists of his first hit single “Popular,” which is sampled from the popular Broadway play “Wicked.” The song was produced by Soopa Beatz and mixed by Sinatti Pop himself. The Pennsylvania native describes the song as: 
“[emphasizing] the importance of striving to find ones own individuality and embracing it.”

I honestly love the idea of sampling from a Broadway musical and adding  a hip-hop twist to it. It reminds me of Jay-Z’s song “Hard Knock Life,” which was sampled from the play “Annie.”
