Somaya Reece Puts "Love And Hip-Hop" Rumors To Rest/ "Love And Hip-Hop" Trailer

Yesterday, Bossip broke a story about VH1 hit reality series "Love And Hip-Hop." Supposedly, Somaya Reece was booted from the show and replaced by a model named Erica Mena. She is a Miami model and the former girlfriend of Terror Squad affiliate Raul Conde. A source told Bossip that Erica will be used to introduce a Miami spin off to "Love and Hip-Hop." The insider also said that Somaya was only going to make a few appearances on the show this season.
"Somaya did tape some episodes. I'm not sure at which point she was phased out and how much of her footage will be included, but she left the production team in a lurch. She told them she had a few ventures in the works, which would have given her a storyline on this new season. But as taping went on, it became obvious that she really didn't bring anything new to the table other than what she had going on last year, which we know wasn't much."
In addition to Erica, Teairra Mari is expected to be on the show as well.
"She's basically taking over Mashonda's role as Emily Bustamantes new best friend. Now that she officially single again, Tearria has basically become Emily's guide to the party life."
However, Somaya was not too pleased with this rumor. Earlier today, she met with her lawyers and her Publicist to shut down these rumors
"Meeting with my lawyers, & @MsKai_AspirePR this about to get really UGLY. Don't mess with the Davis Firm clients !!!!!!!
She later hinted that the rumor was cleared up via her twitter.
"When the Network directly calls the blogs to clear up rumors. S&*T GETS REAL!!!! Carry on....#TeamSomaya foo"
Bossip posted a story, where both VH1 and Somaya issued a statement to confirm Somaya's affiliation with the show. Read both statements below:
VH1'S STATEMENT:
“Somaya ‘Boss’ Reece is a regular cast member of VH1’s ‘Love and Hip Hop” Season 2,” VH1 said in an exclusive statement to BOSSIP. “Along with Somaya, cast members include: Chrissy Lampkin, Olivia Longott, Emily Bustamante, with new members Kimberly ‘Kimbella’ Vanderhee and Yandy Smith joining the cast this season. In addition to the regular cast, there are a number of men and women from the music industry who make guest appearances in the series. Erica Mena makes an appearance
as well, however, she is not a regular cast member.”
While reports stated that Somaya had been eliminated from the cast due to the lack of activity in her professional life, Season 2 of Love & Hip-Hop will apparently find her quite busy. Since we last saw her on the show, Somaya has launched a Tequila brand and worked on the forthcoming Lionsgate release “Go For It,” in addition to continuing to work on her official rap debut – both in English and Spanish.
SOMAYA'S STATEMENT:
“I am very offended that someone would put out information to tarnish my image,” she told BOSSIP exclusively. “Somaya Reece is a brand. The reason they call me Somaya Boss Reece is because I am a self made woman/boss. I scored the music soundtrack to a Lionsgate film & role with a major theatrical release, (movie is called Go For It which Bossip posted an exclusive on it); I am a CEO owner of La Jefa Tequila releasing globally in January 2012; and right now there is $ 1.5 million behind my music project English with Midi Mafia & Latin Richy Pena. I am a very humble woman and I established all of these things on my own simply with drive, focus and ambition! I thank
Vh1 for giving me a platform to introduce their audience to Somaya Reece.”
A satisfied Somya thanked her reps on twitter for putting the rumor to rest.
"Thank you @MsKai_AspirePR & @Jasfly for shutting this BS down today #TeamSomayaREPSedition"
She even retweeted Bossip's story to her twitter followers and sarcastically thanked them for posting the story
"@Bossip Humbly thanking you :)"
Its obvious that Somaya is apart of the cast, since Vh1 recently released the trailer to the show. Two new cast members has been added, which are Kimberly "Kimbella" Vanderhee (Juelz Santana's babymama) and Yandy (Jim Jones manager and keeps dipset crew glued). Kimbella is a video model, who will be working on her pop music career this season. Yandy will be the peacemaker this season for Kimbella and Chrissy. She is very good friends with both ladies.
Check out the trailer to "Love And Hip-Hop.
The show premieres Monday November 14. Episodes has been extended from 30 minutes to one hour.

Side Note: By the way, I don't see both Erica or Teairra Mari in the trailer. Maybe the two are just recurring cast members, not regulars. Who will be tune in on Monday night.... I KNOW I WILL :)!!!
