Also videos showed Bey enjoying her one year long break, as well as her in the dance studio learning the dance routine to her video "Run The World (Girls)." In her Australian interview, Bey spoke on having a baby, her music inspiration "Michael Jackson," Her dancing/"Run The World (Girls)" dance routine, the end of Destiny's Child, ending her business relationship with her father, working to hard, and more.
Peep a couple of excerpts below:On having a baby, and how it may change her life
Absolutely, it has already changed my life. My husband and I have been together for 10 years for all of my twenties-since I was 20 and we just feel like it’s time. I’m very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift that any human being can have. I think because I’ve accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am. I didn’t rush into anything and I feel like if it’s any time, right now is the time and I’m so happy.
On Michael Jackson being her music inspiration
Beyond. How old was I? Five years old and it was my first concert and it was his show and that night I decided my purpose. He’s the reason I do what I do, because I would have never experienced that magic if it wasn’t for him.
On dancing
I’m a huge fan of dance and I always try to think of a new way to move the body. I try to treat choreography like I do a hit song and I try to think of the things that are going to make people want to dance and move around, dance in the club or dance at their school play or whatever.
On her dance routine in “Run the Word (Girls)”
I saw this video clip on Youtube and it looked like Michael Jackson …it looked like stepping, like African all mixed in and I had never saw anything like it. We searched everywhere around Mozambique, which sounds crazy, but we found these guys.
On Destiny’s Child ending
Definitely, it was nerve-racking for all of us. It’s just when you’re use to something it’s hard to grow up sometimes and we all said, “Well, it’s time. We’re women, it’s time and we all want to do different things.”
On working to hard and taking a break from her career
Well, it became a bit overwhelming. I was a bit numb and kind of lost. It didn’t matter where I was, I was in so many different places that it was like “Okay, I’m just on the show, I’m performing, back in a hotel, ‘Where am I?’ ‘What city am I in?’” I’m doing the same thing and it became a ritual. It was a bit of an emotion in me that was missing because the world is so much bigger than the world screaming your name and that becomes almost like a fake world. You have to make sure you remember that that’s all great but that’s not who you really are.
At the end of the interview, Molly Meldrum gives Beyonce a Australian stuffed animal of a Kangroo and baby booties. He even reveals in his voice over that Bey and Jay's baby is due in February.
