Step father Bruce Jenner walked Kim down the aisle this past Saturday at a private estate in Montecito, California. The bride wore a $25,000 Vera Wang dress with a lovely veil channeling a princess. Her sisters/ (Khole, Kourntey, Kylie, and Kendall), sister in-law Kaela Humphries, brother Rob Kardashian, and brother-in-law Lamar Odom served as the wedding party with nephew mason as the ring barer. Guests included Ciaraa, Demi Lavoto, Eva Longoria, George Lopez, Lindsay Lohan, Ryan Seacrest, step brother Brody Jenner and girlfriend Avril Lavigne, and more.
Now usually most newly weds are in debt or broke after their wedding, but that's not the case for the Humprhies. The couple made a wopping $17.9 million off their extravagant event. And why some of you may ask? Well, let's just say Mama Kris serves as a great manager and is a smart businesswoman. Kim's $2 million ring , her $25,000 Vera Wang dress, the $15,000 10 tier cake, $400,000 worth of champagne, and $10,000 Lehr & Black wedding invitations were all donated by sponsors in exchange for publicity. In addition, People Magazine paid $2.5 million for the photo rights of the wedding.
What I don't understand is, when Star Jones and Al Reynolds wedding bill was paid by sponsors, the former couple were criticized and called tacky by the media. However, Kim and Kris are being praised for the exact same thing. Now, that's tacky.
After reading countless reports on this event, I noticed mixed reviews from the people. Those who are against the cost of the wedding stated:
"Wish I had this money to help some people in California, I guess you don't understand it if you never strageled,"
This just SCREAM publicity stunt,"
Others in favor said:
"that's what I'm talking about kim," or "make that money doll!",
"Not bad for a FAKE wedding,"
"Ok I'm like she definitely pimping the game the RIGHT way. Who makes bread off their wedding? Kim K lol."
Well, all I can say is IT WAS HOLLYWOOD'S ROYAL WEDDING INDEED this past Saturday, like sister Khole Kardashian said:
"And I joke and say it will be like the royal wedding because she is just like that."
Lol, wow.... Maybe, Kim was taking notes during the recent Royal wedding. I wish Kris and Kim Humphries the best. Congrats to the couple on their nuptials.
