Amongst those performers, Gucci Mane protege Wacka Flacka Flame performed performed. However, his performance received some negative press from BET's VP Stephen Hill, where he tweeted:

"BET Hip-Hop Awards. The show was going well and then Waka Flak-ed out. Yeah I said it. Waka. Flocka. Flamed. Ot. like it or not, he's popular. Wanted to give a shot mistake."

Flocka performed his singles "Hard In The Paint" and "No Hands," where he jumped off the stage into the audience during the performance.

The jump was not originally apart of Flocka's performance, which triggered Hill's twitter comment.

In response to BET Stephen Hill's tweet, Flocak tweeted:

"How the f***k u invite Waka Flocka and hate when I jump N the crowd to connect more wit fans and friends.... rappers R robots lol"

"I thak [sic] BET AS A WHOLE.... 99% SHOULD I SAY.... ITS JUST THAT 1% IS A DUCK A*** NI**A I KNOW [sic] KIDS HATE WHEN THEY PARENTS GET ON TWITTER AND ACT LAME IS F**K."

After learning that Flocka had to improvise at the beginning of his performance because the wrong song was played first, Hill withdrew his first tweet and later tweeted:

"Let's you and me talk. Bring your manager. I should NOT have sent the first text... but there's some learning here. You in?'

Waka Flocka has not responded.
