Mista was an Atlanta (Atlanta, Georgia) based group in the mid 90 that were signed to EastWest/Elektra Records. The group consisted of Darryl Allen, Bobby Wilson (aka Bobby V), Brandon Brown, and Byron Reeder. They first came to the music scene in 1996 with their first single "Black Molasses."
The R&B group, who were compared to Boyz II Men and New Edition came out with their self titled debut album in July of 1996. The album, which was produced by popular Atlanta Hip-Hop production company Organized Noize, included singles like "Lady," and of course their first single "Black Molasses."
In 1997, Mista began working on their second album and were featured on the movie soundtrack "Why Do Fools Fall In Love." However, due to management issues, the Atlanta R&B group disbanded the same year because of management issues.
Although the group was known to disband because of managment issues, former MISTA group member Bobby V stated that their break-up was a combination of the group member's ages and their group compatibility.
Bobby V has mentioned (in 2009) that he may bring the group back to the music scene. Let's see how this project plays out.... or if it even happens.

I really wonder how their career would've played out if they stayed together. Honestly, I think they could've had a great career.
