Rap Legend Heavy Dead At 44

Its a sad day in Hip-Hop. Rap legend Heavy D has passed away at the age of 44. The rapper, born as Dwight Arrington Meyers was found unconscious in a walkway. According to TMZ, a 911 call was placed from a Beverly Hills home, where the caller stated that he found an unconscious man. Heavy D was transported to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead an hour later. Police are investigating the cause of his death.
Many of you remember Heavy in the rap group "Heavy D And The Boyz. He is known for his theme songs for shows, such as "In Living Color" and "Mad TV," and was featured on Michael Jackson's song "Jam." He also went on to act in movies and shows, like "The Tracy Morgan Show," "Life," "Bones," "Boston Public," and recently "Tower Heist, which premiered in theatres last Friday.
Heavy D also got a chance to take the stage at the recent BET Hip-Hop awards, where he performed some of hits. He even brought out Tyrese on stage his popular record"Now We Found Love."
Heavy last tweet was his condolences on the passing of boxer Joe Frazier, who died yesterday. Comes to show you that tomorrow is not promised. His last tweet was about a man who died yesterday, now we all are sending our condolences to his passing
